“Home Beer” – Traditional Finnish Rye Malt Beer

In almost every Finnish lunch canteen there are three options for drinks – water, milk and home beer. I always choose home beer  because I love dark beers in general and this is a bit like a soft drink version of stout. The version of home beer that is served in restaurants doesn’t contain alcohol because it’s often made of a ready-made drink mixture mixed in water. I make my home beer with malts and it contains some alcohol.
